It’s a full-circle moment for Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter as they reunite on the global stage at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of their film Homebound. Slated to debut on May 21 in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section, the film marks a significant milestone for both actors — especially after their on-screen pairing in Dhadak back in 2018.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound stars Ishaan, Janhvi, and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles. The cast and crew, including producer Karan Johar, are already soaking in the French Riviera ahead of the big day.

Janhvi gave fans a lighthearted peek into her pre-festival mood through Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of a plate of pancakes with the caption, “Cannes Ready? T-1 day.” Clearly, fueling up before stepping onto one of the world’s most iconic red carpets.

Homebound boasts a powerhouse production team — with Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as producers. It’s also co-produced by Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan du Plantier. But the standout headline? None other than legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese has come on board as Executive Producer.

Janhvi expressed her awe and gratitude in a previous Instagram post, writing:
“An honour beyond words. Thank you, @martinscorsese_, for guiding Homebound with the grace and insight of a true master. Your support means the world to us.”

With the premiere just a day away, all eyes are on Homebound — and on a star duo making a powerful return, now on an international platform.
